How connectivity will increase efficiency?

Control and supervisory systems in the HVAC/R sector have evolved very quickly in recent years. This transition towards advanced technology, together with the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT), brings a scenario in which the connection of different devices to add value to services is now becoming a reality. Increasing efficiency and simplicity for end users are the main benefits of connectivity and smart use of data.
On the other hand, however, different challenges, such as confidentiality and cybersecurity are a great concern for stakeholders.
This document aims to analyse the current status of IoT in the HVAC/R sector and the challenges to be overcome for it to be completely implemented.
